Yinke i5 Unboxing and Impressions

We’re the luckiest people in the world because we get to unbox new electric scooters all the time… But today we’re even luckier because we’re unboxing a whole new brand.

Allow us to introduce you to the Yinke i5. This is literally our first look at this brand new brand – we’re super excited to see what’s inside the box, so let’s dive right in!

What’s in the Box?

…Reader, we opened the box upside down, whoops.

How Much Does the Yinke i5 Weigh?

The spec says the Yinke i5 is a 74-pound electric scooter, which feels about right for this type of scooter. Of course, we’ll weigh it ‘officially’ to find out the real number when Paul tests it out.

That weight puts this scooter right on par with the other light heavyweight scooters like the Mantis and the VSETT 10+.

What Else is in the Box?

OK, so now the scooter is out of the box and the right way up, what else has Yinke sent us?

Well, this scooter comes with a nice-looking little tool kit – it’s got all the necessary Allen keys to put the scooter together.

It’s also got a nicely labeled charger, and at 1.75 amps this is a pretty standard charger.

The Deck

Having set the scooter up, we can see right out of the box that the deck clearance on this micromobility device is pretty high.

This truly is an original-looking scooter; honestly, it looks like nothing else we’ve ever unboxed or reviewed before.

This is so exciting!

There’s a grab handle at the back – it looks like a tube on the footrest, but actually, it’s a really convenient way to lift or carry the scooter.

It’s also got a really cool-looking deck too. We love the contrasting red on black color scheme, and the racetrack pattern that flows around the deck – this is one super stylish scooter.

Assembling the Electric Scooter

The Yinke i5 is very straightforward to assemble.

First Impressions Riding the Yinke i5

This scooter feels good.

As soon as you hit the throttle it goes – there’s no dead zone with this one.

We had the opportunity to take the Yinke i5 electric scooter for a spin later on, and here’s our honest review of our experience.
