Apollo Scooters App Update Makes Their Electric Scooters Even More Agile

Canadian electric scooter maker Apollo has been pushing the technological envelope since they started building their own scooter designs from the ground up. The company not only incorporates feedback from riders in their designs, but they also use real-time rider data and analytics for all software and firmware updates.

The latest Apollo scooters app introduces a native app for both iOS and Android users, with enhancements to all the software’s current features.

How the Apollo Scooters App Update Changes the Game

Apollo uses software to keep their app-compatible scooters updated with the latest features. Most of their newer scooters are IoT-equipped, meaning that sensors on the scooters collect data and transmit it to the app, allowing Apollo to remotely diagnose issues and fix them in firmware updates.

The company’s “master plan,” says CTO Eloi, is to “become more and more focused on the software…. There is just no limit” to how agile and responsive the app can become with real-time tracking and data gathering.

Does Apollo’s use of big data make them as much a tech company as a scooter manufacturer? Yes, in a way, and maybe even more so with the release of the latest version of their app, compatible with the world’s first “hyper scooter,” the new 2023 Apollo Pro.

Enhanced Features

The Apollo scooters app update enhances the map and navigation system, with detailed geolocation, rather than just point-to-point ride tracking as in the older version. You can set the app to auto-record your rides, rather than having to manually stop and start each one, thus guaranteeing that your own data gathering is accurate and comprehensive.

One of the most frustrating issues for electric scooter riders at the moment is the lack of a reliable service ecosystem for maintenance and repairs. The Apollo app provides its users with an enhanced service locator that connects them to Apollo-approved service centers around the world.

Granular Parameters View

Experienced riders will be most excited about the deep views and controls of parameters now available through the app. “If you want to geek out a little bit,” as Apollo product manager Derek says in the video above, “and see all the parameters in your scooter, you can do so very easily.”

Apollo’s latest app makes an unprecedented level of detailed analysis and control available to both the company and its customers. Given their drive toward continued innovation, we’re likely to see even more features unlocked by the app soon, maybe just in time for the release of the 2023 Apollo Explore…..
